in brief NCR today said an agreement it had reached with its striking field service engineers had been formally accepted with a majority vote through a ballot process.

The formalisation comes several weeks after up to 90 NCR staff walked off the job seeking increased pay and benefits.

Today's announcement marks the formal acceptance of a deal agreed to between NCR and the Australian Services Union -- which represents the workers -- back on 22 March.

"This brings a conclusion to the negotiations. NCR will be lodging the agreement with the Office of the Employment Advocate within the next 14 days," NCR said in a statement, noting details of the agreement were confidential.
