NCS names new chief

update Current chief operating officer Dr Chong Yoke Sin will replace Lee Kwok Cheong, with effect from Aug. 1 this year. Lee is leaving to head a Singapore-based educational institution.

update SINGAPORE--IT services company NCS, a subsidiary of Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel), has appointed Dr Chong Yoke Sin, to take over as CEO with effect from Aug. 1 this year.

Chong joined NCS in 1996 as general manager and has led the company in winning major IT projects both locally as well as overseas. The systems integrator has subsidiaries in eight countries and 16 locations in the Asia-Pacific.

Chong is presently NCS's chief operating officer, and will take over the reins from current CEO Lee Kwok Cheong, who has held the top post for 10 years.

Lee, affectionately known as KC among industry friends, will take on a new role as NCS Chairman and will be leaving to “pursue his lifelong interests in education” as the new CEO of the Singapore Institute of Management.
