Just when you might have thought Netflix couldn't be added to any more devices, here's one more. The Nintendo 3DS will be getting Watch Instantly treatment this summer.

Following in the footsteps of computers, smartphones and standard gaming consoles, the 3D-enabled handheld gaming gadget will get this feature later this summer, following the U.S. release of the 3DS this month. Unfortunately, no further details revealed on that front at the Game Developers Conference today.

However, Nintendo execs also announced plans for a wireless 3D channel that will be exclusive to the 3DS system. Programming will include movie trailers, music videos and other clips "curated" by Nintendo. That should tie-in eventually if/when the 3DS gets video recording capabilities.

Owners of the 3DS will be able to download these multimedia goodies either using a home Wi-Fi network or at one of AT&T's 10,000 Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide this May.
