Netscape posts solid quarter

Netscape Communications Corp. met analysts' expectations in the second quarter, reporting profits of $8.8 million, or 10 cents per share, on sales of more than $135 million. First Call consensus estimated Netscape would return 10 cents per share in earnings and between $120 million to $130 million in sales.

"This quarter saw Netscape deliver its flagship enterprise products
