Netscape to buy Kiva for $180m
Netscape Communications Corp. said Monday it plans to buy application system server maker Kiva Software Corp. for 6.3 million shares, or about $179.55 million.
The companies said many businesses already use a combination of Netscape and Kiva software, including E*trade and Travelocity. Kiva won PCWeek's "Best Internet Software" award at Comdex.
