ERP provider NetSuite said Tuesday it is buying Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based cloud software firm IQity. Financial terms were not disclosed.

For NetSuite, the purchase will help the company create a single integrated cloud product aimed at both discrete and batch process manufacturers.

"As today's manufacturers face increased global competition, rising customer expectations and digital transformation, they need modern technology solutions to enable them to adapt," said NetSuite president Jim McGeever, in a statement.

"The combination of NetSuite and IQity arms these companies with a unified, cloud-based system that extends across manufacturing, financial and commerce processes to help transform their business operations."

IQity and NetSuite have worked together since 2012 when IQity created the IQity Advanced Manufacturing SuiteApp natively built on the NetSuite platform.
