Google just released a new version of the Gmail iGoogle gadget that, for the most part, is a fully functioning interface for your Gmail. You can do everything from read, delete, mark as spam, and compose messages right from your homepage. It's remarkably good, and a lot faster than opening Gmail itself.

The new gadget makes full use of the new iGoogle homepage redesign, which supports a full-screen view of any gadget that can take advantage of it. Previously, clicking the Inbox link would have loaded up Gmail, but now you will find that it actually looks like Gmail is running from inside your iGoogle page. For me, this makes using Gmail a lot easier, and definitely less time consuming.

Update: Here is the link to the gadget I am using -- apparantly some people cannot see the updates yet.
