News Burst: Apple first customer for IBM's copper chips?
Computer giant IBM will announce today that chips using its fast copper technology are in high-volume production.
The first chips the company plans to produce are the PowerPC 740 and 750, widely used in Apple's Power Mac computer. It was not clear whether Apple would buy the chips.
