News Burst: BT faces more anger over ADSL

Director speaks out at delayed, slower and dearer service

The decision by BT to roll out ADSL at lower bandwidth and higher prices has been criticised by director of Internet access firm Equiinet Bob Jones.

The ADSL trial in North London, which ends next month, offered users data streams of up to 2Mbps at a price of £30. The second phase of the trial, which is likely to be the service rolled out next year, has cut access speeds by nearly three quarters -- to 512kbps -- and hiked the price to £50.
