News Burst: Intel buys e-commerce software firm
Intel Corp. announced late Monday an agreement to acquire the assets of iCat Corporation.
No terms were announced and the deal, which will be made through a subsidiary of Intel, is expected to be completed before the end of 1998. iCat makes software for Web-based storefronts.
