News Burst: Liquid Audio grants Net music licenses
Liquid Audio has granted licenses for its secure music download software to three Japanese companies, a Japanese paper has reported.
Toshiba, Sanyo Electric and Mitsubishi Electric will all be able to use the software in portable music players, the Nihon Keizai Shimbum reported. The paper said Liquid Audio was giving away the licneses because it wanted to encourage the spread of the technology.
