News Burst: Microsoft, DoJ settlement appears doubtful
Despite Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's best efforts to steer and the Department of Justice toward a settlement, an agreement remains largely in doubt.
Legal analysts and industry experts generally agree that private mediator Richard Posner, named by Jackson on Nov. 19, will have a difficult time finding any middle ground between the two sides.
