News Burst: Network Associates' virus warning
Network Associates said today that it has received numerous infection reports about the Thursday Word Macro virus over the past 24 hours.
The company said it had received reports of infection from financial institutions in eight countries.
The Thursday virus infects a Word 97's normal.dot file, and is triggered on December 13.
