News Burst: Syquest lays off 950
Syquest Technology said it will restructure the company, laying off 950 people, 43 percent of its work force, and ending manufacturing in Fremont, California.
The storage maker also said that revenues for the quarter ended June 30 would be smaller than they were in the previous quarter, and operating losses would be larger.
