Two bits of news from Debian caught my eye last week:

- Debian moves to LibreOffice: The results of Oracle's shenanigans with OpenOffice are almost complete now. I can't think off the top of my head of a single major Linux distribution that still includes OpenOffice. Can anyone else think of one?

- Debian 6.0.2 Released:This is a roll-up release. Existing Debian 6 installations can update to this release level by simply using their package tool of choice and updating against any current debian mirror. It is likewise not absolutely necessary to update whatever distribution media you might have; it is still possible to install from the 6.0 or 6.01 media and then update to this version. If you frequently install Debian from scratch, updating your installation media to 6.0.2 can make things faster/easier because there are less updates to be installed once the installation is complete.
