Alistair Gordon, managing director at Harbour Future Leaders, recently ran a mentoring workshop in Sydney for eight participants in the NextGen CIO program.  

In this interview, Gordon talks about the technical to soft-skills transition that aspiring CIOs need to make throughout their careers, how manager-recommended promotions can be detremental to organisations, and how a team is needed to develop a leader.
