NICTA (National ICT Australia) has come to an agreement with start-up Cohesive Data, allowing the company to use NICTA software.

The NICTA software improves the delivery of information to mobile devices, which allows users to access email and view websites on their phones, even if they have no signal.

Cohesive Data, established by Tim Sullivan, Todd Viegut and Peter Vroom, was boosted by seed money from NICTA and intends to market the products initially into the US.

Dr Raymond Wong, who heads up the NICTA project team, will join Cohesive Data to work in tandem on this new enterprise.

"We are really looking forward to bringing this technology to market" he said.

NICTA works with funds provided by the Federal Government as a part of the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.
