Nokia has unveiled the C5 smartphone, which has a special emphasis on messaging and social networking features.

The Finland-based phone manufacturer is dubbing the C5 as "a smartphone packed into a feature phone body." However there's a bit of a debate on whether or not this phone is actually a smartphone.

Here are the specs and you can decide:

  • 2.2-inch display
  • S60 3rd edition OS
  • Supports microSD cards up to 16GB
  • GPS + free Ovi Maps 3.0
  • Nokia Messaging
  • 3.2-megapixel camera
  • 3.5mm AV connector
  • Stereo FM radio
  • Stereo IHF speaker
  • Battery life: 12 hours talktime (GSM), 26 days on standby between charges
  • Measurements: 0.47-inches thin, 1.81-inches across and 4.41-inches tall
  • Available in white and warm grey

The Nokia C5 will have an international debut in Europe and Asia by the end of Q2 2010 for €135 ($183) - and that's before taxes and carrier subsidies.
