After the official announcement in April, a possible release date for the Nokia N8 smartphone is being tossed around, and it looks like it will be popping up in Europe first.

According to Pocket-lint, Nokia insiders have confirmed to them that the Symbian^3-based mobile device will be available in the United Kingdom on Wednesday, August 25. Although, no note of which British carrier will get the N8 and for how much yet.

It took awhile for the Finnish phone maker to get official about the Nokia N8 in the first place, so it could be some time before we hear anything concrete about release dates. Although with this rumor and the previous news that the N8 would be released in "select markets" in the third quarter with a price tag in Euros, it looks like North Americans will be waiting a good deal for this one.
