Novell UK MD says quarter was 'phenomenal'

Novell UK managing director Tom Schuster today played down talk of disappointment regarding the company's quarterly financials announced yesterday, and hailed UK performance as "phenomenal".

"The board set us a target of $365 million [in revenues] as a base line; we hit $375 million. [President and COO] Joe Marengi wanted $385 million so he was disappointed but Joe really wants to drive the company forward," Schuster said.

"For the UK it's been phenomenal, ten per cent up on the average for the last two quarters. We've very effectively positioned IntranetWare and NT Workstation Manager and the fight is no longer against NT as a valid enterprise networking solution but is about how you manage NT workstations."
