Get your kit out...

Digital workhorse Agfa , has formed a new Consumer Imaging Division and Thursday night celebrated by showing off a whole load of new kit due over the next few months.

First off is the ePhoto 780c digital camera, which is a scaled down, bargain basement version of Agfa's ePhoto 780. Stunning in its metallic blue casing, Agfa is hoping to attract what it, ever so slightly patronisingly, calls 'the younger email generation'.

As you'd expect with a £149 price tag, the specs aren't exactly mind blowing but probably good enough for a first digital camera. It has a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768, a 1.8-inch colour LCD and a teeny 2MB SmartMedia card (C'mon Agfa get real!). There's manual adjustment of the 4 mode flash, flash and aperture and shutter speeds.

The camera comes bundled with PhotoGenie image enhancing software, and can be yours in October.
