Nuggets: Creative Webcam to Go

Creative gets like the name and comes up with the Blaster WebCam Go...
Written by Justin Pearse, Contributor

Creative has come up with a neat little idea -- a PC camera that you can also use as a basic portable digital camera. The Video Blaster WebCam Go can be attached to your computer like a traditional Webcam, but can also be unplugged and taken with you wherever you go.

It comes with 4MB of built-in memory, which can store 90 JPEG images at 640x480 resolution, or 200 at 320x240. And bear in mind that you're only taking snaps for posting on the Web, so these sort of resolutions are perfectly fine, thank you.

The camera offers three operating modes when detached from the PC: single exposure, self-timer, and multi-exposure for grabbing images in speedy succession or capturing video clips. For quick image download it connects to the PC via USB.

The software package includes ArcSoft's Polaroid PhotoMAX for image adjustment and sending video email, and WebCam Monitor for recording video and Web site publishing, which includes support for FTP uploads. Oh, and it comes with a 'rugged' carrying case. Ooooer!

Available now for £119.
