Nuggets: Instant photos from Epson

Make your digital camera print-tastic
Written by Justin Pearse, Contributor

Nuggets, twice a day, every day (well, we do our best!). Software, hardware and every gadget we can get our mitts on...

Dedicated printers for digital cameras are definitely the way forward for those sick of going to Boots.

The Stylus Photo 875 DC from Epson is a six-colour inkjet printer with an integrated PCMCIA card reader.

Based on Epson's 875EC, it offers 4pl droplets for photographic prints, Variable Dot droplet technology, PhotoEnhance 4 for touching up your prints and resolutions of up to 1440dpi for printing on plain paper. Print speeds go up to 9ppm black and 8.8ppm colour.

The built-in card reader supports Compact Flash, SmartMedia and Flash ATA. When you slip in your memory card of choice, Epson's PhotoQuicker software is automatically launched. It downloads thumbnails of stored images, ready for you to print straight away.

Out now for £329, it supports Macs and PCs via USB.
