Nuggets: Lara lifts the lid on graphics power

Summary:Lara gets into Voodoo3dfx has chosen none other than Lara Croft to launch its next generation Voodoo graphics cards at this month's CeBIT.

Lara/model (er, look-a-like) Lara Weller, will be introducing three new cards -- the Voodoo4 4500, Voodoo5 500 and Voodoo5 5500.

All the cards are based on the company's VSA-100 processor, which supports the integration of one to 32 chips per system, using proprietary programmable scan-line interleaving techniques. 3dfx says that this gives 'ultimate' fill rates and high visual reality through digital cinematic effects.

3D rendering in the cards is also apparently improved by incorporating full-scene anti-aliasing technology.

The new range will be in the shops this spring but there are no pricing details so far.
