NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470/GTX 480 make a early retail appearance

We all know that NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 470 and GTX 480 cards based on the next-generation Fermi GPUs are almost cooked and should be making an appearance imminently, but it seems that one US tech vendor has jumped the gun and listed them on its website.

SabrePC.com has listings for both the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 and GTX 480 cards from both PNY and XFX.

It's too early to tell if the prices, which are listed as $500 for the GeForce GTX 470 and $680 for the GTX 480, are accurate. If they are, then the ATI Radeon HD 5970, priced at $650, is likely to be a better deal both price-wise and performance-wise.

Note: As these products are listed, that means they've attracted fake (yet funny) reviews despite not actually being available for sale yet. These reviews are well worth a read!
