After unveiling plans for the launch of its 4G network, O2 has now revealed how much services will cost.
O2 plans to switch on its, Leeds and Bradford. Its network launch comes almost a year after EE's — the first operator in the UK to offer fourth-generation services — which already has half a million subscribers and covers about 55 percent of the population.
O2's 4G SIM only packages start at £26 for 1GB of data, rising to £36 a month for 5GB of data. Additional data is offered at £6 for 500MB and £10 for 1GB. Airtime plans for users on O2 Refresh contracts () start from £22 a month for 1GB of data, and go up to £37 for 8GB, plus a monthly device payment which will range from £10 to £25, dependent on how a customer chooses to pay for their handset.
The mobile operator said its 4G pay-as-you-go and mobile broadband tariffs will launch before the end of the year.

O2 is also adding assorted music, sport and gaming content via its O2 4G Tracks music service, sports videos, and a tie up with Gameloft which will allow gamers to play certain titles over 4G without eating into their data allowance.
O2's 4G SIM-only packages for small businesses start at £21.67 for 1GB of data on a 12-month contract, and until 31 October O2 is building in additional data to its most popular small business SIM-only 4G tariffs, which means 5GB will cost £25.84 a month (3GB as standard) and 8GB will cost £30 a month (5GB as standard), excluding VAT.
