OnePlus 3 receives Android 7.0 Nougat in open beta

OnePlus 3 owners can install an early version of Android 7.0 right now.

Do you own a OnePlus 3 and feel left out of the Nougat fun? Feel a little adventurous?

If you don't mind running unfinished software on your phone, you can install a beta version of OnePlus' OxygenOS for your phone, complete with Android 7.0 Nougat.

You will need to manually install the update by downloading a ZIP file, and then follow the instructions located on this page to complete installation.

According to the OnePlus forums, the beta build includes the following new features:

  • Upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat
  • New notifications design
  • New Settings menu design
  • Multi-window view
  • Notification direct reply
  • Custom DPI support
  • Added Status bar icon options
  • Added quick launch for third-party applications
  • Improved shelf customization
