Revenues from dating sites are expected to increase by only 9% this year to $516 mln, according to JupiterResearch. The growth rate has dropped dramatically since 2002, when the industry grew 73%. In 2003, it increased by 77%, but dropped to 19% in 2004. The survey found that 44% of adults using dating sites were looking for a serious relationship, 43% for friendship, 39% for a date, 37% for physical intimacy and 20% for marriage.
