The number of online households in the United States will hit 23 percent by the end of the year according to a new study from International Data corp (IDC). That's up from 16 percent in 1996, and about 20 percent now, IDC said. The study also reported that nearly 60 percent of online households access their online service at least once a day, up from only 35 percent in the previous year.
