Opera Mobile 9.5 to be shown at Mobile World Congress 08

It looks like Mobile World Congress 2008 is shaping up to be quite an event with rumors of Windows Mobile 6.1, demos of S60's touch UI, and lots of software and services. Opera just announced that Opera Mobile 9.5 will be available for trials at MWC 08 in Barcelona. I use Opera 8.5 on the HTC Advantage and it offers a much better browsing experience than Internet Explorer Mobile. Check out the video demo to see the improvements in Opera Mobile 9.5.

According to the press release, Opera Mobile 9.5 has much faster download speeds, improved UI with ZoomT to dive into sections of pages much like the iPhone Safari browser, support for Flash with OEM/operator capability to add Flash Lite 3, and Opera Widget capable. Opera Mobile 9.5 will be available for Symbian, Windows Mobile and Linux and the public beta should be announced soon. I understand the Opera Mobile browser is also used on the Archos Generation 5 media players. The current version, Opera Mobile 8.65 is available for US$24 so I imagine this latest version will be priced about the same. It will come with a 30-day free trial too.
