If you missed out on the opportunity to take advantage of pre-ordering your Verizon iPhone, get your computers ready. According to Verizon Wireless, it will open its online doors at 3:01 a.m. EST on February 9th. The official site is verizonwireless.com/iphoneorder, and if you order from it, you can expect the iPhone 4 to be delivered to your door for free.

If you miss the online order opportunity, just one day later Verizon Wireless Retail stores will open up at 7 a.m. local time on February 10, 2011, and will offer up the iPhone 4 for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can bet that there will be lines around the block on February 10th. According to Verizon Wireless, the company had to halt taking pre-orders, after it experienced its most successful first day of sales in the company's history.

I'm still a bigger fan of AT&T's implementation of the iPhone 4, mostly because of its ability to handle voice and data simultaneously, as AT&T has recently been highlighting. Of course, many would argue that it's more important to be able to actually make a call, and that I must be in the minority since I don't experience many dropped calls these days.

At any rate, we'll soon see if Verizon's network can handle the insane increase in users that everyone is anticipating, especially since the company will offer unlimited data, for a limited time.
