Oscar.com site to launch

The official Web site for the 1999 Academy Awards, www.oscar.com, will launch Feb. 9, officials at ABC Internet Group and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said Thursday. The site will offer live coverage of the Oscar nominations announcement, set for 8:38 a.m. EST/5:38 a.m. PST that day. Also available on the site will be the full list of nominees in all categories, Oscar history, photos, film trivia games, and a synopsis of each nominated film. The site will also offer live coverage of the March 21 ceremony.
