Paid version of Angry Birds coming to Android

Summary:Rovio Mobile is confirming that a paid version of the Angry Birds game will be introduced for the Android platform soon. This version will get rid of the ads currently appearing in the game.

Angry Birds fans, and you know who you are, who have been playing around those annoying on-screen ads on our Android device can soon get your wallet out and get rid of them. Rovio Mobile is confirming that a paid version of the game will be introduced for the Android platform soon. The new version will most likely be released with the next version of Angry Birds, Rio.

The game has only been available on the Android platform in an ad-supported version. The ads appear after a while in the upper portion of the screen, and can sometimes interfere with gameplay on phones with smaller displays. The paid version will get rid of all ads.
