Panasonic has extended its range of multimedia notebooks, sticking with Intel's existing Pentium processor, despite the fact that most notebook makers have delayed releasing new machines until they can incorporate Intel's MMX Pentium technology.

The CF-61 is available with a 150MHz or 120MHz Pentium. It includes a 12.1-inch TFT colour screen, on-board 16-bit sound with in-built speakers and microphone, 32-bit PCI architecture, support for the Zoomed Video port standard and high speed IrDA communications. Prices start at £3,450 + VAT for the 120MHz and £4,400 + VAT for the 150MHz.

Panasonic can be contacted by telephone on 0500-404041.
