Mammoth beverage manufacturer Pepsi Bottling is turning to Redemtech to develop a strategy in the United States and Canada for handling its e-waste, either through recycling or reuse.

Under the deal, Redemtech has been tasked with the following: - Dispose of electronic assets. For perspective, earlier this year Redemtech helped Pepsi Bottling employees get rid of about 4,000 pounds of old laptops, CPUs, monitors, printers, cell phones, chargers, televisions, VCRs and camcorders. The company was able to earn some resale value out of 147 units of the 214 collected. (That money will be used to fund future e-waste collection events.) - Ensure that the company's e-waste is kept out of landfills, that it isn't incinerated or exported. - Increase the return on investment for assets that will be decommissioned and reused. - Handle compliance. - Provide measurements and reports about the company's recycling initiatives.
