Picking BlackBerry in Italy

Research In Motion and Telecom Italia Mobile announced on Monday that RIM's BlackBerry service and device is now available in Italy. The BlackBerry devices run on TIM's next-generation GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) wireless network. RIM's BlackBerry service and devices offer always-on access to e-mail. RIM has been working to get its BlackBerry service and device into new markets. In late April, the Waterloo, Ontartio-based RIM announced that its BlackBerry service and device were available in Hong Kong through a partnership with Hutchison Telecom.
