Pivotal Cloud Foundry available on Google Cloud Platform now
Pivotal Cloud Foundry, a platform that's used to build cloud native applications, is now generally available to run on Google Cloud Platform.

The move gives Pivotal more access to developers for its platform as a service based on the open source Cloud Foundry project. Google Cloud Platform solidifies a partnership that'll give it more exposure to enterprises. Pivotal is part of the Dell Technologies family of companies.
Pivotal Cloud Foundry has been available on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The deals with AWS and Microsoft Azure were forged in 2015.
In a nutshell, Pivotal Cloud Foundry on Google Cloud Platform will have access to Google's load balancing, fast boot times, and pricing. The two companies are also integrating data and machine learning services as well as service brokers.
Other Google services available to Pivotal Cloud Foundry customers will include storage, BigQuery, SQL, and APIs for vision, speech, natural language, and translation.
The companies said engineers from both sides have been working on the integration tools for months.
