Playboy photos to bed down in phones

Third-generation mobile phone services operated by Hong Kong conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa will include pictures and video clips from Playboy Enterprises, a spokesman for Hutchison's 3G UK said on Wednesday. The deal represents the U.S. adult media company's entry into third-generation mobile services, which use improved downloading technology to bring multimedia content to cell phones. 3's exclusive multiyear rights include access to 13 million photos and 2,000 hours of video programming.

Hutchison has set an ambitious first-year pan-European customer target of two million for its pioneering "3" services, which have already been launched in Britain, Italy and Australia, and are set to go live in six other countries this year.
