Polaroid and RealD partner for premium 3D glasses

Polaroid Eyewear is going to the movies thanks to a partnership with RealD. The result? Polaroid Premium 3D Eyewear.

Under the deal, the glasses will be made and certified with RealD's 3D touch, while Polaroid will be responsible for distributing the frames at movie theaters, optometry clinics and who knows where else.

Apparently the Polaroid Premium 3D glasses can also double as sunglasses as each pair is outfitted with UV protection. Available in both adult and kid sizes, the collection will also feature many "appealing" designs, more than just the typical black set like the one seen above.

No word on pricing nor a release date for these optical accessories just yet.
