The PowerTogether.com offer that Microsoft put in place to give away free copies of Windows Vista Business Edition and Office 2007 Pro is over. With 30,000 sign-ups Microsoft has now decided to close the door on the offer.
That makes good business sense given that Windows Vista Business Edition costs $299 and Office 2007 Pro costs $499. That means that Microsoft has given away $12 million worth of software. Pretty cool when you think about it! But it's not just the cost of the offer - the site's been groaning under the load of users over the past few days.
If you're signed up and haven't watched the required number of webcasts, don't panic - you can still visit the site to complete your requirement.
