PowerTogether.com offer ends - $12 million worth of software given away!

The PowerTogether.com offer that Microsoft put in place to give away free copies of Windows Vista Business Edition and Office 2007 Pro is over.  With 30,000 sign-ups Microsoft has now decided to close the door on the offer.

That makes good business sense given that Windows Vista Business Edition costs $299 and Office 2007 Pro costs $499.  That means that Microsoft has given away $12 million worth of software.  Pretty cool when you think about it!  But it's not just the cost of the offer - the site's been groaning under the load of users over the past few days.

If you're signed up and haven't watched the required number of webcasts, don't panic - you can still visit the site to complete your requirement.
