Telecommunications provider Primus Telecom has teamed up with virtual Web-hosting company OzHosting.com -- owned by Destra -- to deliver Web hosting services.

With this partnership, customers of Primus' domain registration business, Planet Domain, will now have access to OzHosting.com's virtual and advanced Web hosting along with e-mail anti-virus solutions, shared SQL advanced hosting and SME e-commerce products.

Primus Telecom said it intended to explore opportunities to further extend the OzHosting.com product range across its corporate and hotkey businesses.

Destra chief executive offer Domenic Carosa believes that Primus' decision to team up with Destra is very strategic, calling it a "a white label deal".

Destra revenue has already increased by up to 66 percent and Carosa believes this new partnership will further enhance its revenue in the next couple of years. "This is an exciting new partnership where we will provide wholesale Web hosting products and services for Primus customers over the next three years and integrate with Primus' domain registration business, Planet Domain," said Carosa.

"This will extend the existing relationship between the two businesses where Destra makes use of the national Primus infrastructure," said Primus Telecom general manager for product management, Development and Strategy Campbell Sallabank.
