Qik launches video streaming client for Windows Mobile devices

I use Qik from time-to-time on my North American N95-3 to stream live video, but haven't been using it too much lately as I have been evaluting the new HTC Advantage. I read the transcript from an interview between Qik and MobileCrunch that a Windows Mobile client will be launched today. I have 25 invites for people interested in the service.

I use Qik from time-to-time on my North American N95-3 to stream live video, but haven't been using it too much lately as I have been evaluting the new HTC Advantage. I read the transcript from an interview between Qik and MobileCrunch that a Windows Mobile client will be launched today.

I then followed up with Bhaskar and confirmed that the client will be available for non-touch screen Windows Mobile devices like the Motorola Q series and Samsung Blackjack. You can check out the full press release now too. Unfortunately, I don't have a non-touch screen Smartphone with 3G so I won't be able to use it unless I have a WiFi connection on my T-Mobile Shadow. Hmm, maybe I need to look more seriously at the Blackjack II. Qik will be working on future devices to support in the future so my Advantage may get some Qik love then. Now all we need is HTC or Samsung to focus on rolling out devices with high-end cameras like the Nokia Nseries.

The Windows Mobile client will be launching as an invite-only alpha and they were gracious enough to let me pass out 25 invites. If you would like an invite and have a compatible device, please let me know.
