The Raspberry Pi Foundation has provided some pricing updates for the cheap educational computer, making it clear to buyers in various countries what they will have to pay.

A blog post on Tuesday provided updates from the two worldwide distributors of the Raspberry Pi, RS Components and Element 14/Premier Farnell.

RS Components said it had decided to set a single global price and delivery charge, namely £21.60 and £4.95 respectively. The supplier also said that UK VAT would be constant at £5.31 per device.

However, the foundation's Liz Upton added that those in the rest of the EU may have VAT calculated differently, and other local sales and import taxes may be applicable outside the EU instead of VAT.

Meanwhile, Element 14/Premier Farnell provided a grid showing how much would be payable in each country, in local currency. According to the distributor, customers who had already registered their intent to buy and were quoted different prices at the time would only pay the cheaper of the two prices.
