Research In Motion has released the finalised software development kit for its upcoming BlackBerry 10 platform.
The 'gold SDK' came out on Tuesday, aslast month. It essentially gives developers the tools, APIs and components they need to check that their BlackBerry 10 apps will work properly when the make-or-break platform launches in January.
"We are seeing continued excitement for the BlackBerry 10 platform from leading brands across the globe. Partners want the recognition and advantage of being first-to-market on this exciting new platform," RIM business development chief Martyn Mallick said in a statement.
RIM has been making a serious push to attract developers ahead of the launch, offering financial incentives andto tempt the cross-platform crowd.
The company has also launched a '' for businesses, so they can prepare themselves for the upgrade.
