RIM rounds out exec team, names COO, CMO

Summary:RIM's move rounds out CEO Thorsten Heins' management team, which has to make BlackBerry 10 a success.

Research in Motion has hired a new chief operating officer and chief marketing officer.

The company said in a statement that Kristian Tear will be operating chief. Frank Boulben becomes CMO.

RIM's move rounds out CEO Thorsten Heins' management team, which has to make BlackBerry 10 a success.

Tear comes from Sony Mobile Communications where he was an executive vice president. Tear will oversee R&D, sales, manufacturing and supply chain.

Boulben comes from LightSquared and also was the marketing chief at Orange Group and was an executive at Vodafone.
