Rimini Street, a third party ERP maintenance provider, said Tuesday that it has more than doubled its client base for SAP software over the last year.
The company provides support for Oracle software---Siebel, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and E-Business Suite---and SAP's R/3 4.x, ECC 5.0, ECC 6.0, BW 3.5.
To date, Rimini has more than 50 companies getting SAP support. Rimini has been focused on expanding in Europe. On Tuesday, the company also said its Tax Engine for SAP Payroll was no generally available. The tax engine provides regulatory updates to maintain financial and legal compliance.
Rimini is aiming to grow its customer base by providing dedicated experienced engineers to each client.
While Rimini's progress is notable the main event going forward will be the company's ongoing lawsuit with Oracle, which could solidify third party support. Should Rimini prevail the third party support bandwagon is going to get crowded.
