Research in Motion records all of its employee phone calls to maintain intellectual property calls.

ZDNet Australia did an interview with RIM Robin Bienfait, who disclosed the taping.

She said:

"Everything I have that's on RIM is recorded and retained as RIM. So if they want to have a chat with somebody and it's not a chat that's within RIM's domain, then they may want their own personal device."

ZDNet Australia adds that Bienfait didn't believe it was a violation of privacy. And it isn't. Anything on the corporate network is free game and employees know about the surveillance.
