RSA Security to support proposed XML key management standard

RSA Security Inc. has announced that it will support the XML Key Management Specification (XKMS) jointly designed and announced by VeriSign, Microsoft and webMethods.

RSA Security Inc. has announced that it will support the XML Key Management Specification (XKMS) jointly designed and announced by VeriSign, Microsoft and webMethods in its future releases of its RSA BSAFE development software and RSA Keon public key infrastructure products.

XKMS includes a set of transactions and rules for managing digital keys for digital signatures and for encryption of data elements in documents written in XML (extensible Mark-up Language).

XKMS will be submitted to the appropriate Web standards bodies for consideration as an open Internet standard.
