More on the exciting world of Nigerian email scams. You may remember that Lah-Di-Dah Gunner Graeme Wearden dug out the facts behind all those emails from the General's wife -- the ones offering a few million quid if you helped smuggle dosh out of the county. You may also remember that this got picked up by the world at large, meaning a steady stream of questions from other journalists and a mailbox full of spam from well-meaning readers.

It goes on. Now, a Japanese TV company has decided to do a feature on all this and have made contact with Wearden-San, whose terrier-like determination has clearly impressed them. Whether he'll make a starring appearance on the television screens of Tokyo is yet to be ascertained, but we wish him well.

Next stop -- obviously -- is Hollywood. We suspect that the word processors of Southern California are even now whirring away in overdrive as this tense yet poignant tale of technology, geopolitics and sheer brass necked con-merchantry continues to unfold. Which leaves us with the obvious question: who's going to play the Big G? My money's on Michael J Fox, but it might just be a hair thing.
