Russian mobile penetration to reach 68% in 2006

Lighthouse Business Management Russia estimates that there is a 12-18 month window for Russian mobile operators to capture the remaining "addressable" market. Mobile usage boomed over the last 5 years in Russia, from less than 1% penetration in 1999, where Lighthouse estimates that by year-end 2004 will reach over 46% penetration. Russian mobile operators must act fast because the remainder of growth will occur between now and 2006. Lighthouse estimates that mobile penetration in Russia to reach over 68% in 2006.
